On May 20, 2021, the Ontario Government released a three-step Roadmap to Reopen to gradually lift public health measures and safely reopen the province based on ongoing progress of provincewide vaccination rates and improvement in key public health and health care indicators.
The province will enter Step 1 of the Roadmap on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. The Government has indicated that the province will remain in each of the three steps for at least 21 days to evaluate any impacts on key public health indicators.
AGCO licensees and operators must continue to follow the rules and public health measures under the provincewide emergency brake until we move to Step 1 of the Roadmap. Licensees and operators must also follow public health measures enacted by the province and any additional restrictions implemented by their local Medical Officer of Health, and they must continue to meet all other existing legislative and regulatory requirements.
For detailed information on the measures planned for each of the three steps, including the measures before entering Step 1, please consult the government’s Roadmap to Reopen website.
How will Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen affect AGCO licensees and operators?
For ease of reference, the AGCO has relaunched its COVID-19 webpage and is highlighting relevant information regarding the current public health measures affecting each of its regulated sectors for Step 1 of the province’s Roadmap to Reopen.
As more information on the specific measures and requirements that will be in place under subsequent steps of the Roadmap to Reopen becomes available, further updates will be provided to inform AGCO licensees and operators.
