Beer and wine grocery store licensees are reminded that amendments to subsection 89(10) of Regulation 746/21 under the Liquor Licence and Control Act, 2019 (LLCA), which change the product display requirements, took effect July 1, 2022.

The AGCO previously announced these changes in June 2021.

Effective July 1, 2022, there is a change from 50% to 45%, in the required percentage of containers of wine, excluding cider, on display in an eligible grocery store outside of any wine boutique that must meet the criteria set out in subsection 89(10) of Regulation 746/21 under the LLCA.

Licensees are also reminded they can request a list of wine that meets the criteria set out in subsection 89(10) and that is available for sale to eligible grocery stores, from the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO).
