On June 24, 2021, the Ontario Government announced that the province will enter Step 2 of the three-step Roadmap to Reopen as key public health and health care indicators continue to improve and the provincewide vaccination rate has surpassed targets set by the government. The Roadmap gradually lifts public health measures to promote a safe reopening.
The province will enter Step 2 of the Roadmap on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. The AGCO will be updating its COVID-19 webpage to highlight the relevant Step 2 public health measures applicable to each of its regulated sectors.
Further updates will be provided to inform the AGCO’s licensees and operators as the province progresses in the Roadmap to Reopen.
Licensees and operators must continue to follow the rules and public health measures under Step 1 of the Roadmap until Step 2 takes effect. Licensees and operators must also follow any additional restrictions enacted by the province, their local Medical Officer of Health or their municipality, and they must continue to meet all other existing legislative and regulatory requirements.
For detailed information on the measures planned for each of the three steps, please consult the government’s Roadmap to Reopen website.
