Ontario is moving several public health unit regions to new levels in the Covid-19 Response Framework

Earlier today, the Government of Ontario announced it will change the classification of several public health regions within its Keeping Ontario Safe and Open Framework, including moving Toronto and Peel regions into Lockdown (Colour Code: Grey). Changes to classifications and new public health measures for regions in Lockdown are effective as of Monday, November 23, 2020 at 12:01 a.m.

Please consult the Government of Ontario’s COVID-19 response framework web page to see a full list of classifications and specific rules that affect AGCO-regulated sectors, including food and drink establishments, meeting spaces and other venues that host events with Special Occasion Permits, horse racetracks, casinos, bingo halls and other gaming sites located in each public health unit region.

The government has also announced that cannabis retail stores in regions in lockdown will be permitted to offer delivery and curbside pickup services. The AGCO will be providing additional information and guidance for cannabis retail store operators later this weekend, before these measures come into effect on Monday, November 23rd
