Overview
There are two classes of grocery store owner/operator licences:
- Beer and cider grocery store licence
This licence allows you (as the owner/operator) to sell and offer samples of beer and cider in your grocery store. You can’t sell or offer samples of wine.
- Beer and wine grocery store licence
This licence allows you to sell and offer samples of beer and wine (including cider) in your grocery store.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a beer and wine grocery store licence, or a beer and cider grocery store licence with the AGCO, you must have a wholesale supply agreement with the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO).
